California adopted a new corporate climate disclosure law and the SEC released its final Climate Rule a few weeks ago. About the Speaker

Peter Tomczak is partner at Baker McKenzie law firm, focusing his practice on corporate internal investigations, corporate compliance, and complex business disputes. He regularly counsels clients and their boards of directors on corporate compliance, ESG and corporate governance matters and has conducted sensitive internal investigations, in particular those arising under the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, for multinational corporations in more than 30 international jurisdictions.

Peter is the co-author of the American Bar Association's "ESG in the Boardroom: A Guidebook for Directors" and the recently released 6^th edition of "The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Handbook." He serves as Baker McKenzie's Co-Chair, Global Investigations, Compliance and Ethics, and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Firm's Global Dispute Resolution practice. Peter also serves on the Firm's Global Professional Responsibility and Practice Committee and Cross-Alliance Pricing Committee. He joined Baker McKenzie in 2003 after having served as a law clerk for the Delaware Court of Chancery.
