PRI Workshop on the Food Value Chain
As part of the ESG in Credit Risk and Ratings Initiative, the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is organizing a virtual workshop on the food value chain with corporate borrowers, credit analysts from investment institutions, and credit rating agencies (CRAs). The purpose is to discuss the relevance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in credit risk analysis and to enhance the dialogue between credit analysts and companies’ CFOs and Treasury representatives.
The intention is not to assess the performance of guest companies, but to discuss the materiality of ESG factors for credit risk (how it varies by country, sector, and corporate). It can help corporates to better manage the increasing demand for disclosure and to understand how their cost of capital may vary depending on how they manage and incorporate ESG factors in their business models and strategic planning. It will also be a good opportunity for companies to engage with bondholders.
The event is by invitation only. Members interested in attending should email Global Compact Network USA's Program Coordinator, Claudia Herbert Colfer, by clicking the 'Register Now' button located at the top of the page.
