Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and organized Sponsorships Contractor to collaborate with us on developing sponsor opportunities, identifying and securing potential sponsors, executing agreements, and delivering positive sponsorship experiences to our partners. Sponsorship opportunities will include, but are not limited to: dinners and receptions, events and roundtable discussions, and programmatic sponsorships. The position will sit within our Engagement team and will be managed by the Head of Engagement while working cross-functionally with our Programming and Communications teams to ensure all aspects of the agreements meet our broader organizational goals.

This is a flexible, project-based role that requires a self-starter with a track record of delivering successful partnership agreements globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across UNGC teams to develop and refine sponsorship packages, and produce externally-facing supporting materials and proposals to support.
  • Work closely with the Engagement team to identify potential sponsors within the UN Global Compact community to match with appropriate opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors and potential sponsors, ensuring agreements are being executed properly.
  • Negotiate terms of sponsorship agreements, and align with sponsors and UNGC teams to set clear expectations for delivery.
  • Provide regular internal updates on sponsorship revenue and impact, pivoting approach where needed and providing suggestions on how to improve packages and opportunities to match demand.
  • Stay up-to-date on sponsorship trends and offer new and innovative ideas for concepts and offerings.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in partnerships and sponsorships, with a successful track record securing corporate sponsorships at non-profits
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, with strong interpersonal, communication, and professionalism to manage client interactions and ensure satisfaction throughout the sponsorship process
  • Strong project management, with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to create organized, easy-to-digest, visually appealing marketing materials
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team
  • Flexibility to attend events or in-person meetings if needed (NYC area)
