Staying Committed to Our Mission
Dear Participants,
As we mark the 25th anniversary of the UN Global Compact, we reflect on how businesses have come together to advance principles in human rights, labor, the environment, and governance – a powerful signal that profitability and sustainability go hand-in-hand. Over time, these principles have proven not only essential in managing risks but also in strengthening resilience, meeting stakeholder expectations, and building businesses that can thrive now and in the future.
During the 25 years of our existence, we have collectively faced many challenges in our work to advance the Ten Principles. While the path forward may not always be clear, our shared commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices remains a steady guide toward our vision of a better and more prosperous world.
We believe the U.S. private sector has the power to drive solutions, spark innovation, and provide the leadership that governments and markets worldwide look to for guidance on the direction the world must take.
In our mission to support you, know that our work continues without pause. In fact, we are deepening our efforts to provide you with the latest resources and tools to support your journey. We encourage you to connect with peers through our Peer Learning Groups, a safe space to share best practices and discuss common sustainability challenges. In the coming weeks, we’ll introduce additional opportunities to come together, exchange insights, and access resources to create opportunities for the future. If you’d like to learn more about how we can support you, please feel free to reach out.
Inaction is not a choice when the need for solutions is so clear. As we continue in our mission through the next 25 years and beyond, we remain committed to working with you on your efforts to drive meaningful, lasting impact.
Thank you for your partnership.
Warm regards,
Richard Pearl
